A teacher’s legacy lives on through their students. A parent’s legacy lives on through their children. A mentor’s legacy lives on through those they encourage and support.

Over time, many students discover that legacy is not something created so others can admire at the end of our lives.

It is built every day through our actions, our relationships, and the example we set for others.

At Jin Sei Ryu Karate-Do, we believe that one of the greatest responsibilities we have is to pass on our budo practices, values, lessons, history, and culture to the next generation.

Perhaps this is one reason traditional karate-do remains so relevant in modern life.

Legacy is not what we leave for others to admire today.

It is what we leave in others to enrich their lives long after we are gone.
