My Story

Kancho Ino started martial arts in Kyokushin Karate in 1974 at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, as an eight-year-old boy. At this time, his father introduced him to a very famous master, Kaicho Tadashi Nakamura, who later became his instructor, influential role model and personal mentor.  Upon meeting Kaicho Tadashi Nakamura, he began a humble student-teacher relationship that spanned almost 45 years, initially within Kyokushinkai-kan and later the World Seido Karate Organisation.  Over time, Kancho Ino steadily progressed as a dedicated student, successful competitor, accomplished instructor, ambassador, and eventually as an international branch chief in Australia for the past 20 years.

In 2019, Kancho Ino founded Jin Sei Ryu Karate-Do as a means of continuing his journey. Through Jin Sei Ryu Karate-Do, Kancho Ino provides students an opportunity to follow a path which builds on the strongest karate traditions.
