Are you a senior martial artist seeking a new home for yourself and your students? Would you like to learn more about Jin Sei Ryu Karate-Do International? Many have reached out recently, expressing interest in affiliating with our organization. Whether we’ve crossed paths before or are meeting for the first time, we follow a thoughtful and detailed process to ensure alignment in values and expectations.
Our Joining Process
At Jin Sei Ryu Karate-Do, affiliating as an instructor, experienced student, or dojo is a journey of mutual understanding and growth. Here’s what you can expect:
- Introduction and Application
We start with a detailed introduction to your martial arts history and experience. This includes reviewing your black belt certifications and completing an application to help us understand your motivations for joining. - Training Together
To ensure compatibility, we’ll engage in collaborative training sessions – either in person or online. This process typically takes several months and provides an opportunity for us to build trust, understanding, and connection. - Face-to-Face Meeting
Following our initial training period, we’ll arrange a personal meeting to openly discuss expectations – both yours and ours. - Expectations and Commitment
Jin Sei Ryu Karate-Do International does not actively recruit instructors, students, or dojos. We expect all transitioning instructors to maintain independence and integrity. Instructors affiliating with Jin Sei Ryu Karate-Do are independent – they must have already resigned from their previous organization before beginning this journey. - Learning the Syllabus
Transitioning members are warmly welcomed. However, becoming part of Jin Sei Ryu Karate-Do requires fully embracing and mastering our extensive syllabus, which is both broad and deep. We do not award new belt ranks or titles upon joining.
This comprehensive process ensures that every new member is equipped to uphold the philosophy, technical excellence, and legacy of Jin Sei Ryu Karate-Do while growing as a leader within our international family.
