Announcing the Jin Sei Ryu Community Outreach Fund

January 6, 2026|by Jin Sei Ryu

We’d like to share a quiet but meaningful update with our Jin Sei Ryu community.

The Jin Sei Ryu Community Outreach Fund has now been formally endorsed by the Australian Taxation Office as a registered charity, with income tax exemption and GST concessions, effective from 27 August 2025.

In simple terms, this means the Foundation is now officially recognised and regulated as a charitable entity, with clear governance and accountability obligations. This strengthens our ability to support community initiatives, scholarships, and outreach programs in a responsible, transparent, and sustainable way.

At this stage, donations to the Foundation are not tax-deductible, and we will always be clear and transparent about this.

Thank you to our students, families, and supporters for the trust you place in Jin Sei Ryu. This step reflects our long-term commitment to service, integrity, and doing things properly.

Thank you also to our Board Members, Sensei Anthony Borgese (Chair), Shuseki Shihan Clive Davidson, and Kyoshi Linda Crawford for your time, commitment and stewardship.
