Twenty-Nine Years Ago Today…

Twenty-nine years ago today, Leigh and I boarded a plane for Sydney, Australia, and began the adventure of a lifetime.

For Leigh, it was a return closer to home. For me, it meant leaving behind lifelong friends, a promising career, and Seido Honbu in New York.

That same week, we started our first karate club in the Sydney CBD.

The journey has not been without challenges. There have been moments of uncertainty, sacrifice, hard work, and change. But through it all, the experience has been worthwhile.

Together, we built a life, raised a family, and created a dojo community.

Looking back after twenty-nine years, we remain grateful for the decision we made, the people who supported us, and the journey that continues today.
